I just recently got my 95 mustang gt put cowl hood on x pipe 2 magnaflow cats 2 flowmaster 30's 3" tips 2.5" piping and it has been starting funny. I turn the key and the motor starts to turn, stalls out for a second and then starts right up. I was thinking either a flywheel or my starter but does anyone know of this problem occuring in these yr 5.0's?

Does the starter gear engage with the flywheel on the first try? If not, I'd be looking at the solenoid on the starter, as this is what gets the starter gear to engage with the flywheel. It could be sticking. But if it does engage correctly, but cuts-out while cranking, its either a bad starter motor or something stupid like a bad ground. Take it off and do a bench test on it, that way you can bypass the solenoid and put power directly to the starter and see if it turns correctly. This is where I would start.
