Any of you ever have those fluids leaks you just can't seem to stop? I replaced my thermostat this weekend and ran into that problem. The actual install should have taken under 30 minutes to do as it is rather simple and straightforward, but of course as my luck would have it I run into a leak. It was pretty heavy at first, but I disconnected again, reseated the gasket, thermostat, & housing and added some more rtv silicone. The leak improved to a small drip every 10 seconds or so. Absolutely freakin' annoying! I ended up leaving it at a shop for the weekend, so its probably a mess under the hood now.
Are there any common things to look for when you have leaks of this nature? Can over tightening bolts actually cause more leaks?
