Tweecer/Familiarity??

I look at getting a tweecer or a PMS, but leaning more toward the tweecer. How long did it take you to get experienced enough with it to tune yourself? How much previous knowledge did you have? Is it possible to learn as you go?
I have been doing some research on it but feel a little intimidated to just jump in.

Also, I am installing a Zeitronix wideband can it be paired to datalog with the tweecer.
