They have spent the last few years bragging about nuclear weapons capabilities and trying to extact money from our gov't in exchange, and now they want to launch a typodingdong missile for "satellite" purposes Somebody pinch me.
I like their threat. "If you shoot down our missile we'll fire more missiles at you... to shoot down." And I seriously doubt they'd be able to shoot down ours. But Meat is right, I doubt the Big O will do it.
I think they would be more pissed if we didnt. Then they would be all "See! I told you we coulda defeated the Americans but no, you wouldnt let me launch our 3 working missels!"
This whole thing about N. Korea having a nuke? Could blame this on the failed "diplomacy" of the last 8 years. By going into Iraq Shrub and the U.S. demonstrated how compliance with UN Resolutions and U.S. demands doesn't keep a country from being invaded and the leader hung. Add this to how N. Korea was invited to the Axis of Evil party then ignored UNTIL they developed a bomb, and only then were they paid attention to. The actions of Shrub&Co. only illustrated how rogue nations have to become a threat before their even noticed. Got a problem with where the world is? Seems the last 8 years had one hell of a hand in bringing us here.
Yep. We paid and they still didn't stop. I love it how Wart says that they wanted nukes because Bush said they were part of the "Axis of Evil." Actually they wanted nukes long before that. Their nuclear program is what got them into the Axis of Evil, not the other way around.
My pops worked on the missiles...ahem...the "Vehicles" that will be launched. He said as much as he could, as it is top secret, that they are basically the 5hit, and have flown farther, higher and faster than anything the public has seen. From the sound of it, he is not worried about anything getting close to us...
