I'm venturing into the world of road courses, and I know an important mod for successful open-tracking running is better brakes.
Right now, I'm looking to upgrade the pads. From what I've read here, Hawk and Green Stuff are two popular choices. I'm leaning toward the Hawks (the HPS version) but have a few questions still. Thoughts from the experts?
- Do the Hawks have a "warm-up" period before they're up to full braking power? If so, is the reduced cold braking a significant safety issue? My car is usually a daily driver not a racer, so I'm wary of this issue...
- Any other daily driver issues of which to be aware?
