upper control arm bushing

got an 88 5.0 LX with a rear end upper control arm bushing that has eaten itself. is replacing this going to be a bitch? i would really like to change them myself, but im not too proud to let a pro do it. i have jack stands, a floor jack, a driveway, and a saturday. anyone have any tips? any special bushings to use, or will the 10.99 napa ones do?

You will need to drill out the rubber part with a 1/4" drill bit, then collapse the bushing shell and it will come out too. The new one needs to be drawn in; I use a threaded rod and washer with a piece of pipe larger than the bushing to draw it into. I can replace them both in about a half hour. Hope this helps. I've not seen the NAPA ones, always used Ford's, but they cost about $20 each.
