Urgent Tire Question

Tires purchased - Nitto 555R Drag Radials - going to local shop after work for mounting. AND my rear tires right now are fresh (P.O.S. Fuzion's) so it's gonna be a smoke show ladies and gentlemen.
Also gonna do a transmission/ TC flush. Bet the fluid will be nice and broooown.

Mine is an automatic, so I have taller gears and less of an ability to spin wheels with popping the clutch. It will still spin if I punch it from a dead stop - however, when it goes from 1st to 2nd it's a very strong lurch forward instead of spinning wheels.

Nice.

I am still considering Nitto's even though most people I have talked to advise against them.

I want something better than a street tire, without the common low tread life of a true drag radial. 555R seems to be a good compromise.

It doesn't snow here in FL and the roads don't ice over, temps rarely go below freezing even in "winter" so I have no prob running summer tires all yr long. These will supposedly get 10-12k miles, I'll be happy to get 5 or 6.
