Vacuum Line connections

So I recently diagnosed and changed the Mass Air Flow sensor on my '93 2.3L. Upon finding the problem I found some strange vacuum line connections from the previous owner; no big surprise there...

Anyway, the PCV valve is connected to the intake manifold, as usual, but there is a second line from the PCV that is not terminated.

The second line is about 1.5' long and it looks like it was connected to something ( at some point) as it has male nipple on the end. I found the line connected to the PCV valve and the other end against the firewall. The nipple has long since melted against the engine block.

My immediate though was it possibly connects to the MAP sensor, but this model has a BP sensor instead, so that's out the window....

Can anyone tell me if a second line should exist on the PCV for this model?
