Valve Cover Clearance

Looks like I may have to trim the baffle on my stock valve covers in order to clear the roller rockers. Have any of you had to do this or heard of it?

Very common John. You may notice a little more oil in the breather element or tube.

Use the explorer valve covers. They are based off the Cobra units and will clear roller rockers.

I don't have the Explorer valve covers so I had to modify the baffle in the Stang covers.

I sliced a few notches across the ridge of the steel baffle with the dremel cutoff wheel. That allowed the metal some movement qualities. I then inverted the ridge with a hammer and punch.

All clear now.

I thought I was gonna fire this thing up tonight but some nasty weather moved in and sidelined me. The temp dropped 30 degrees in 30 mins and some wicked gusty wind started whipin in. I'm surrounded by big trees. A big branch came down and missed my Transit van by about 5 feet. Yikes!!!!
