I'll try to make it short. We were test fitting a cam to see if it has too much lift. We put on my new heads that are P&P E7's with 1.9/1.6 valves and Crane springs good to .600. The work was done <1000miles ago according to the previous owner of the heads. With the heads and 1.72 rockers on, we started turning the engine over by hand and about 6 of the 16 valve springs make a single click noise at almost the point of full compression/beginning of decompression. We think that they may be clicking because the valve will not go down any further. We had some strong indentions in the putty in the intake valve reliefs. We think 1.6 rollers might eliminate this problem. Am I just being paranoid with this clicking or what could this be? Thanks!
