Valvetrain noise

My new to me 89 hauls ass....however I went to 10-30 Castrol and was wondering if this might be the reason I have a lifter or rocker tapping now.

I have no idea what the previous owner ran. Also my oil psi is around 12-15 when hot....at idle. Is this normal psi and is the tapping an oil weight issue?

That could be it. Try and run 10w40 and see what happens. I wouldn't go thicker than that because the engine is not designed for it. There is just a problem there. Did you just buy the car? If so, someone might have had some 20w50 in there to quiet it down...
