How do I take off vinyl stripes? And will there be any type of residue left behind that I will have to wash off? The stripes have only been there for around two months.

Umm.....if they've only been there for that short amount of time, no worries, use some goo-gone and peel it off. Anything left over, clean with goo-gone and when you've got any **** gone, wax it a few times

Yupp yupp.

Just peel it off by hand, use a hair dryer if you need some extra help.

Then, like said, use the Goo-Gone or (I use) 3M General Purpose Adhesive Remover to get the old glue off.

Yep, then once off I would wash the entire car with hand washing dish soap (not the dishwasher stuff) to remove the wax (monkey sea-men also works well too) then re-wax...

Mine were the gay gran sport ones off corvettes. I dont own a corvette soo I am taking them off.
