Vortech S-Trim Questions

You can use the MSD set up but you want to get a timing retard depending on how much boost you are running. Usually anything 8psi and over requires a timing retard. Also, when you put the blower on, change the plugs with new ones and go with a (I believe) a .035 gap. Double check the gap with the vortech install manual. Its relatively straight forward. Make sure you have a NPT tap for the oil pan (use lots of grease when you do it). And double check that your MAF is setup for a blower. If it is not then it will run really rough and way too rich. Make sure your bypass valve exit re-enters the intake side of your blower. In my experience, if the bypass valve vents to the atmosphere then it will run way too rich if it runs at all. Good luck.
