Hi there. After 2 rebuilds under warranty (leaking seals), here's the sound of my Vortech V2 after a fresh install: Vortech V2 - Bad bearing?- Video Vortech V2 - Bad bearing?- Video The first video is less than 1 inch away from the blower with 2 high-quality microphones, so the sound is a bit amplified. Does it sound bad to you? Before sending the unit to Vortech, I don't remember hearing this "bee sound" mixed with the typical centrifugal sound.
mine has been rebuilt twice with in a year of having it, a bad bearing will make a screwtype of whine in your super charger i would check to make sure there is no oil in the front of the charger(intake side), if there is it could be a leaky seal or the impeller rubbing on the case, sometimes after a break in they change sounds i know that my buddys v2 makes a completely diffrent sound than mine (he also has fmic and a 2.89on it) i would just keep your ears peeled for a little bit to see if it gets worse
