WANTED: Black 1995 GT with less than 10,000 miles. Does it exist?

    I have about 12,000 to spend on a garage kept Black 95 GT with less than 10gs on the odometer. Ive been looking here and there in San Diego but its obvious now I have to look nationwide to find one I want. It also must have black interior, leather or cloth.


    now, on my personal note, some stuff I want to do to it is drop it 2" and throw on some American Racing Torq Thrust IIs with it deep dished in the back, with 315s in the rear and 275s up front. How ****ing sick would that car look with a Cobra Front Bumper, and a Cobra R hood, and a 5% window tint. Complete that with 4 adjustable coilovers and a front k-member with panhards in the rear and a 9" out the back with 3.73s. The heart of the car will be a forged 347 block, with the AFR 185cc heads, and a Port/Polished Cobra Upper and Lower, or maybe even a CHP Spyder Intake? Than top it off with a Lunati Cam, 80mm MAF, 75mm Throttle body and some shorties with a BBK O/R H-Pipe, and a 3" single chamber cat back with 4" tips. Throw that with some good studs and gaskets, and maybe open it up with a 150 wet kit, and Ill be seeing low 12s, right? Maybe even an 8 point cage with harnesses and some projector headlights and foglights. man Im pumped.

    Back to the original question, does anyone know of anybody with a garage kept 5.0 SN95 thats black with 10,000 or less on the odometer? thanks

    I suppose it is really possible :nice:

    Except i dunno if you want a "bone stock" one.

    If you're gonna be ripping out the motor and replacing it anyways, who cares how many miles it has?

    Uhh if you're going to put in a new engine, why don't you just get a high mileage one? I would understand if you wanted something with extremely low mileage to keep in a garage or something, but why would you modify it? Buy a Mustang with higher mileage, you'll save money and won't decrease the resale value of an almost stock, low mileage car.

    If you want a low mileage car to keep in mint shape wile retaining all original parts for future value I say go for it! BUt, If your gonna rip alot of stuff out of it and mod it why not go the high mileage route. The value on a mint 94-95 is gonna go in the crapper when you mod it, just my opinion. Get a high mileage 94-95 mod it like you want and then throw in new carpet and seats and Viola! a look alike low mileage your looking for!

    It does exist somewhere, But I agree with everyone else, its not worth it to buy a lower mileage one, im sure you can get a 90k mile stang for like 5-6k and then use the other 6k on parts. There is no point and on wasting your money if you are going to take the engine out anyways.

    I wouldn't be at all suprised to find one of these somewhere(that being the key word here). I have a 1995 Rio Red convertible (loaded with options and white leather interior and white roof) that I bought new in May 1995 that is right now sitting in my garage with 4965 miles. So if you really want one, you'll find one , but for God's sake if you find a low mileage one, keep it original. They are only original once. If you want one to mod, just but a high mileage one and have at it. :shrug:

    I bought my 95 with very low mileage and modded it. It's a 95 GTS to boot. It had 43,000 km's or roughly 31000 miles on it. Now it has 52,000 km's so still very low kilometers.

    The advantage to low miles, winter stored etc, is that my car is tight. I mean the car is like factory new. No squeeks, no rattles, tight tight tight. Even when it's up on the hoist the underneath looks like it just came off the showroom floor. I know my tranny is still good, I know my clutch is still good, in fact I was going to replace the clutch during the engine build but the stocker looked like new so I thought why waste the money.
    I know the rings are good, plus I just did a compression test to confirm that.
    Yes you'll lose value but there are a lot of other things that need to be taken into consideration. My Mustang drives down the highway or city streets as smooth and tight as my brand new car does.

    My 93 only had 72,000 on it, GT vert. Had about 55,000 when i bought it in 01'. I hate cars with high mileage, much rather spend more on a low mile car.

    I agree with everyone, if you are going to change the motor and blow up the trans (the stock trans will not be able to handle that for long) why not either use your 95 gt or get another with a bunch of miles and mod the crap out of it. If you are worried about paint it costs around 2k to get it repainted at most good shops (at least around me) with what you are doing I don't know why you would care about milage, hell you could even get a v6 and drop a 347 in it. As far as the car being around, probably; for sale, probably not but for the right price anything is for sale.

    I bought my car in 1998. I looked every single day for 4 months to find a black one with under 30,000 miles. I called over 350 dealers in 5 states, looked on the internet everyday, and bought hundreds of ads. I finally found mine 600 miles away in Cleveland. The chance of you finding a 9 year old car with 10,000 miles on it is EXTREMELY rare. It can be done but get ready to spend A LOT of time and effort on the deal. Luckily you have Ebay, which I didnt have. You may luck out and find one there.

    built 347 with afr's and 150 shot..seeing 12's???? I think u should set ur e.t. goals a little higher with that setup....
