well i just installed a vortech v-2 sq s-trim and i have been have some trouble with the car. well detination is the first. I reduced the timing to about +10 tdc from 17 degrees. I also attempted to hook up the btm (boost/timing master) and i think i installed it correctly but i took my car out for a spin and was in third gear. i got on it and at about 5 grand the car began to detonate. i immediatley let off of the gas. about a second after that there was a loud clicking noise. not like a lifter or something. it didnt sound internal, i think. my friend thinks its an exhaust gasket leak. looking at the motor from the front it is coming form the left rear. near the number 4 cylinder. I just want some ideas of what it could be and is to safe to drive to a repair center. the car isnt stock. gt40 intake trickflow heads. 347 stroker. thanks
