Weird surge after smog pump bypass.... done research..
Well after I bypassed my smog pump (just ran a smaller belt. I did not disconnect the pump and plug the holes.) I would start the car, it will idle fine, but when I accel through my clutch it's not very strong and if I let the rpms go down ever so slightly the engine will go down to 4-500 rpm and surge twice before going back to normal. Why would the smog pump cause this?
