Weird t5 issue!!

I took a good working t5 out of a 85 gt to put into a 91 4cyc project the tranny sat for about a month with fluid in it, finally got aorund to finishing the project drained and put redline fluid in the tranny, and it wont go into 2nd now??????? i drove the car for months and it was fine before but now from just letting the tranny sit it dont go into 2nd??? its like it hits a wall or somthing just pops out, ive tried other shifters also what could have happened

I've heard that shift forks bend and cause them to not be able to go in second...I know two people that had that problem

I've had my T5 rebuilt 3 times and each time it would be hard to shift into 2nd. Finally 2nd gear blew. Come to find out the Tranny was put together wrong. Make sure the C clips holding the gear in place, if not it will be hard to shift and then it will blow.
