I was looking into this intake as well. My tuner was gonna try and use my car as a test mule for it, but then found out it wont work with my setup because of the supercharger. Too much of a headache with the alternator and stuff.
If a company like Trick Flow with proven products put out an intake that looses 10 hp, then their reputation is affected. I believe this intake has to have some kind of results. But, it may just be wishful thinking. Heres to hoping it doesn't get pushed back to June
Yeah, but to be fair, none of them make much power on a stock or near stock N/A engine....and most of them don't even make 10hp (Professional Products intake anybody). It's not like the good old days where you could swap out to an aftermarket intake and heads on an old bolt on 5.0L OHV and pick up 40-50hp. The stock hardware is actually better than most give it credit for in that respect.
i was joking, but i think you would see a 15-20 hp gain on a blown engine. basically it is a bullitt intake give or take a little
Yeah Saleen, thats probably right. I like it better than the bullitt though because of the price and the ability to use all my stock stuff. Bullitt intake gives a nice powerband increase (not necessarily huge peak numbers) over the factory PI intake and thats why I'm hoping this intake does the same for less.
