Just wondering, I havent had a chance to take in my 2002 S281 N/A to a dyno shop or the strip yet. Has anybody dynoed a completely stock S281 and run it on the track, very curious to what my car runs and what numbers it pumps out. Thanks.

your car is essentially a stock GT mustang. look up the numbers on one for your year and that's it.

if its a stock gt, why does saleen rate it at 290 HP and 330 tq. Stock 4.6 V8 are rated by ford at 260HP and 302tq.

The engine is essentially stock, but the underdrive pulleys, power flash, and exhaust add a little more over the stock GT. That's what I want to find out, how much more over a stock GT it has.

i wasn't clear on the mods. i figured it may have powerflash...exhaust is nothing fancy. didn't know about the pulleys....one of these saleen guru's should be able to tell you.

Even with the added horsepower, the Saleen kit and wheels puts weight on the cars and is enough to put you where stock gt's if not a little faster in the 1/4.

I believe that replacing the previous stock parts with the saleen parts is little to no weight added. Anyone else agree?

Saleen kit is heavier than stock parts and those 18" wheels ain't helping.

    Yes, I am nuts

I weighed both front and rear stock 04 mustang bumpercovers, side scoops, hood scoop, rockers, fog lamps, and rear wing.

Then did the same with the Saleen front and rear bumper covers ( with screens) , three piece wing, rockers, side scoops, and c-pillars.

The Saleen kit out weighed the GT parts by 46 lbs.

......I'll agree with that statement :p Then again we both own more cars then we can drive at once, so I guess that makes me equally as nuts as you. Don't forget that those Saleen wheels most likely out weigh the stock wheels, too :nice:
