That's the Mustang I'm buying. What hood is that? What body kit is that? I know it's a Stalker, but what kind? All I can find is Stalker Type II, which looks totally different. How much is that kit worth also? The rims too, how much would you say they're worth? What about comparing them to the 17" rims that come with the premium GT package? Comments? Thanks!

Yeah I was thinking about buying an '02 stock from Sunrise Ford in North Hollywood, so I dunno if I should buy this one anymore. The yellow one is an '01 GT w/53k miles selling for $9,995 with a leather interior as you can see, pretty much fully loaded (not sure about the sound.) Anyway, they sold it last Saturday to someone with bad credit and they drove off the lot, and on Sunday it was back on the lot to fix something that happened with the ABS, then on Monday the finance didn't go through with the bank so now I'm buying it. What could of happened with the ABS? The car salesman told me it was something that couldn't be prevented it just happens randomly. Anyway, the '02 is midnight blue with 34k miles, the sticker price is $18k, but if I can get it down to $13k, is it a good buy? It's fully loaded except for the sound, and it has the default CD player.

    For the bodykit, try www.mrbodykit.com.

18K is too much for an '02 with 34K miles. 13 wouldn't be too bad tho.

If it just has the single CD player and not the 6-disk changer, then it's a GT deluxe. Leather was an option on it as was ABS/TC.

That was a BS excuse by the salesman about the ABS. Problems just don't happen randomly for no reason.

That's the stock hood with a crappy square black tape stripe. They tried to model the '99 35th anniversay stripe but did a poor job. It doesn't follow the contours.

The body kit is some Saleen knock-off. At least the front bumper is. The rear bumper doesn't even have the vents cut out. Looks cheap.

    The wheels suck

I would definatley stay away from the yellow one, I love yellow but YUCK!

Yes $18k is way to much for an 02' w/ 34k miles, hell I dont think you can get 18 out of an 04 with 20k miles. I would blue book the 02, that will give you some what of an idea of how much its worth.

    Good Luck

I'm either getting the '02 for hopefully $13k out the lot, or an '01 Bullitt w/34k miles for $14k out the lot, which I doubt...today the numbers worked down to as low as $16,758 if I remember correctly. If I cant get it to $14k out the lot, then I'm going for the plain Jane GT.

Still way too expensive when the same cars sell for $11-12K privately.

That's the problem, I don't have cash upfront to pay that much, which is why I have to go to the dealer. So $13k for a 38k mile GT is too much? What about $14k for a 34k mile Bullitt?

Get a bank loan for the full amount, and then use whatever cash you have as a down payment on the loan. That way the private owner gets his cash and you get financing.

I (pretty much) just bought a Bullitt for almost $12k. I had $4,800, NOT out of my pocket, it was a car my dad gave me literally a week ago, which I used as a trade-in. The car has 153k miles and no dealership would give me more than $2k for it. After talking to the dealer, he finally used it as a trade-in for $4,800. The off the lot price was technically $16,900, but if you think about it, all I'm paying is $11,900, so I KINDA got good deal if you think about it. My brother wanted it to be $14k off the lot, but he wasn't there and I'm the worst bargainer you'll find :(. $17k aside, I have a new car!!! :flag:

I was gonna do that and buy an '01 Cobra for $14,500, but I have no credit so no bank would give me that much of a loan. With the Bullitt, my mom cosigned, and once I have good credit, I'll refinance it under my own name.

Congrats on the Buliitt. What color did you get? I also wanted a Bullitt back when I purchased my '01 GT new. Oh well, a couple of years later I ended up buying a Mach 1, and trading in the GT.

I'm picking up the car tomorrow, because as I said, my cosigner is signing tomorrow in the morning, so I'll post pictures then. Huzzah! Btw, it's highland green, and tomorrow I'll see what production number it is.

I can see where you're getting that from, but when I saw the car in person it appeared to be the same color. Anyway, I can't wait!!!
