i did a search and read where it says to route the clutch cable under the k member. mine is too short so i went looking for another one and they are all the same lenght. what cable is long enough to route under the k member? the headers melted my cable and need a longer one to route away from headers and under k member or can i use a same lenght cable and use heat shield? thanks

You don't actually route the cable under the k-member. The cable should go through the opening under the motor mount, above the steering rack, and next to the oil pan. In a sense the cable is under the k-member, but not really. When people hear under the k-member, they try to route it under the rack so that it is under all of the frame work, which is incorrect.

You want a '94 5.0 GT clutch cable, which will be the same thing only longer, and you might still want to use the heat shield/wrap just for safe keeping since the cables arent cheap.

:nice:
