I am doing the final sanding work on this box and we decided to paint it flat black and stick in there and see what it looks like. I am trying to decide to leave it black or go ahead and paint it true blue. I might wait till next year and paint and leave it black over the winter time.

    Here are 2 pics:

The box has 1.26ft of air space and is ported with 3inch wide by 7 1/2 long port. With my setup I am still able to use alot of my trunk to haul stuff and it sound really good. The port is tuned for 39hertz and slams, while still able to be punchy for rock and roll.

Well time to pull it out again and finish this bad boy.

Keep it black man, if anything, maybe some blue accents, but you dont need to paint it blue, it would look sorta tacky in my opinion.

Well I am think I am going to buy some true blue auto paint at Walmart and see what it looks like before I decide. I am still sanding and want a gloss paint to help find the high and low spots. The Flat black can hide a lot of that.

Will post pic after this is done so can get side by side comparison.

Or maybe a gloss black would look cool

What about black vinyl? That would look classy.

Did you make that yourself? A friend and I are considering attempting to make a fiberglass enclosure for his 3000gt.. I'll have to get some advice from you and MyEarsHurt if we start on it..
