I like the new one. Mustangs have always had better looks but if you compared it to the 05+ stangs i would go with the maro. That plus the maro will wax a stang stock for stock. I guess that has always been the case
Looks too expensive to me. Best thing about it is it has Ford finally thinking about a bigger V-8 engine for us.
Its ugly inside and out, itll be expensive, and Im sure itll be cheaply built outside of the powerplant like all the rest.
you put a 300hp v6 into a 6000lb truck and it'll do the 1/4 on a calender, similar case with the Camaro
I like th enew Camaro but we will have to see the final numbers (hp and weight) to determine if it'll be any good. Im sure the SS and Z28 will still beat the GT, sad but true. What I do love is the new Challenger. My buddy has an SRT8 that should be here in the next month or so. Hes building a custom shaker hood for it and adding a 100shot too it. I really excited about it!
I haven't seen much on the new camaro that is actually finalized yet, but it looks huge, heavy and overpriced. The new challanger is fast, but damn is it big. The curb weight is over 4100lbs, so the weight with driver will be closer to 4400. Not to mention it costs just over $40K for the SRT-8 model. At that price, you won't have to worry about running into the SRT-8 at every other stoplight. GM has been talking about making the camaro and has been throwing around specs for a long while... since the old camaro was put to rest. We'll just have to see what the final specs are.
Im a car guy so I can find things I like and can appreciate in ALMOST any car. I like the new Camaro, looks nice and has a killer V-8 Yeah its not a Mustang, and we all know I love Mustangs, but its a nice powerful sports car. Remember when RWD V-8 cars were a dying breed?
The interior of the new Camaro is very unattractive and plain looking. The exterior is dreadfully ugly is my opinion. Not to mention that the front grill looks like a locomotive. The new Dodge Callenger looks extremely good in and out. I like how Dodge kept the Callenger as close looking to the original model as possible I would definitely consider purchasing one. They are all limited production so everyone and their grandmother will not have one since they are only making so many. The new Dodge Callenger will be a collectors item.I belive that Dodge did a great job in producing the Callenger since it is a tastefully built vehicle that people will love!
Trust me the Callenger is not a collectors item. They will make as many of them as they can sell. Just like Ford did with the GT500. The Shelby was supposed to be a low prodution car with a two year run. They made 10,847 cars in 07 alone, god knows how many for 08 and the 09s have been confirmed. They will sell them till they cant sell them anymore. They are building the hype up by only releasing a limited number of SRT8s this year and then for next year they will flood the market with them.
I totally agree. You have to remeber that competition is absolutely fierce right now and automakers will do what ever they can to clinch a bigger piece of the pie. All the new inexpensive rwd sports cars coming out right now have their eyes focused on beating one auto.......the mustang. Looks to me ford better step it up. A 6.2 liter engine would be great if gas was still $0.99 a gallon. By the time it arrives gas will possibly be $5 a gallon or more. How stupid can ford get. I dont care if you shut down half of the cylinders or have a chicken coop in the trunck to power a chicken crap hybrid engine; it just wont sell.
i think the new camaro will look perfect parked in front of a double wide, owned by a guy who still wears a mullet and thinks his mullet looks good.
We can count on the new Camaro being fast. Looks are subjective. Ive seen some pics and videos that it doesnt look bad in, and others it looks like it got whacked HARD with the ugly stick. Heavy? Probaly so. Handle mediocure? Probaly. Outrun a Mustang? Yeah. Chevy has to do a real good balancing act this time around, or else it will get the axe like the GTO's did. They were a bad ass car, just not enough market for them while 'Stangs still sold strong as hell... hopefully the Camaro will stick around so we will have some new competition and not have to brag about beating a car that was last built in 2002... I LOVE the new Challengers. If I could get my hands on an SRT-8...
I agree. In some pics, like the article in Car & Driver and the one that was in Transformers, they looked oh so sexy But in other pics they looked like an oversized tap shoe. Just my luck Chevy will produce the later.....
