could someone help me figure out what might have happend to my car.....i was on my way to pleasure island in orlando florida. my car was running fine and as i merged onto the florida turnpike i started to accelerate and i shifted from 3 to 4 i released the clutch and floored it and as i did that the car popped out of 4th gear ( grinding and clucking ) and the the engine over revved. at that moment i didnt think much of it but when i put it back into gear. my car started missing and sputting and started to sound like an exhaust leak started. then it started to knock and lose power and i pulled over and checked what i could. the ses light started flashing and i knew something bad might have happend. i nursed it back home ( 60 miles!!!!!!!) and the way home it just got worse. i couldnt drive in 5th gear because the car missed so bad. now i have to remove my aftermarket parts and take it to ford to get it checked out. i hope my warranty covers it. does anyone have a clue what might of went wrong. any advice would be greatly appreciated.
