what lowering springs to use?

I have a 2001 GT and am now deciding on which springs to put in it, I want to drop the height, more for estetics than anything else, and I do not want to make the ride terribly harsh, but a bit more responsive. I am considering progressive verses straight rates. Any ideas on which?

I've got Eibach Pro-Kit progressive rate springs and really like the ride quality. Handling was dramatically improved. Springs are a hard decision.
