What makes these wheels NOT fit on 94-98 cars?

The wheels I am refering to are the Roush 18x9/18x10 wheels. They are a 5 spoke chrome wheel. Supposedly they are for the 01-04 Mustang. I understand the quarter panel is a bit different. But it seems as though any other wheel will fit between 94-04 mustang so why not these? What gives? The offset is supposedly 28mm and 41mm respectively, but idk for sure if that is correct. I really am wanting these wheels or something similar to them. Any ideas???? I just hate to have the same 4 styles of rims everyone else has, the Cobra R, 03 Cobra, Bullitt, and FR500. They are all great just not me I suppose...

    Give me your thoughts guys....

Anyone I know that got those roush wheels was to clear bigger Roush brakes. I saw that set on a 96 GT Project Nightmare on Horsepower TV. You just need to worry about what size tire you get.

I don't know for sure about the front and what size tires I want, but I would like to have 295/35/18's on back. maybe like a 265/275 on front? T be honest I don't know how wide of a tire you can fit on the front of an SN95 car. The car will be lowered about 1 1/8 to 1 3/8 via Steeda Ultralite springs soo...

What are you guys thinking with that information?

another thinking about the Roush's eh....you can get 18x10 but they will take some custom work to get to fit. I have 18x9 all around and they fit fine. The offset is perfect for 04 mustangs so on a 94-98 the 10" wheel will stick IN too far and rub on the inner suspension, with spacers it will bring it out but might bring it out too far and will look ghetto. I didnt want to deal with that so just went with 18x9 all around. Fit fine. The usual offset for people with 94-98s are 24-30mm not the stupidly massive 41mm offset.

Tons of people run 10 and 10.5 on 94-98 models with no issues,

These are mine with an 18x10 inch. I will say my 15x10.5 welds with 26 inch ET Streets did rub though. It was a tire issue not the rim.

yes, tons of people run 10 or more inch wheels, but the backspacing on the Roush wheels doesn't accommodate the 94-98 wheelwell as well as the 99-04's

    :stupid:

I do have to say that those are probably my favorite wheels now. If I ever go with another set (besides Bullitts and ProStars), it will probably be those.

What he said. Most 10" wheels are around 20-24mm offset these are 41mm offset.

since roush wheels are about $600 each that automatically makes them not fit my car
