why at 6 against a fast car? you probably would be better off shifting at 5500 or 5600 then 6k. I think 6k is a tad too far. I think the best place to shift is right at 5800. most of our cars make their max RWHP between 3.5 - 4.5k rpms, once you climb past there you lose alot.
I get my best trap speeds and 1/4 times off shifting between 5600-5800rpms any higher and lower and I lose 2-3 mph in the 1/4 and anywhere from .1 .2 of my e/t
Hey man....have it dyno'd to see exactly where your power is dropping off. I just had it done and realized I was shifting too high (at redline). I am losing power after 5300K or so, so I don't shift past 5500 now.
my power band stayed very flat at the maximum from 4800 rpm all the way to 5650rpm so I guess I can shift anywhere between that range.. which is a good thing I guess.
