What should upper-lower manifold bolts be torqed to?

Title says it all. On a Cobra manifold if that matters...

Use a torque wrench -- you don't want to strip 'em. I don't consider 20-25 to be that much .

Yea, I used my torque wrench but I just remembered that I only tightened them down to 12lb ft

I use 22 ft/lbs. You'll need to go over the tq sequence at least 3-5 times.

I think some people are misunderstanding the question.

Lower to head bolts are 18-22. Upper to lower are only 10-12. Right?

I can't see the torque specs being so great for the upper to lower manifold. Couldn't you bust the feet off the manifold if you're using 18-22?

Whoops I think your right, we all read it wrong. I never tq my uppers, I just use common sense when tightening them. 10-12 ft/lbs seems right though. I do use 22 on my lowers going over the sequence a few times gradually going to 22.
