The adapter kit i got dosn't match up with the wires in my car. one plug does and thats the one with the power, acc. and ground wires, the other plug which is the same shape and has 8 wires also is far diffrent than the other one that came out of the back of the OEM deck. the one that came out of there, that one has 9 very small guage wires(prob. 22ga.), one of which has no insulation around it  and they all go into a smaller more square shaped connecter.

i have the ground, acc. and 12v. wires hooked up and the radio comes on and there is power in the output wires.

Now, i know the car has 6 speakers so why are there only 8 wires? and why is it that when i try to hook the radio wires up to the the little ones i assumed were going to the speakers nothing happens?

i really only plan on using the four speakers, and not the ones in the dash so im not worried about them. the other plug that came with the kit looks like it would fit up farther kinda behind where the radio goes and it looks like the wires that come out of that are the same color and patter as the ones going into the speakers when i take them out.

So my main question is where the hell do i put the other plug and what the hell are those little wires for?

Well it sounds like your car has the premium sound package. Your speaker harness is the wrong one then. The one you need to bypass the factory amp is a square harness.

so where is the amp? because i think im going to take the wires that come out and hook them up instead of buying something else. if the allcome out of the amp then i should be able to just take them out and hook them up and not have to run new ones right?

Call crutchfield and tell them you need a receiver wire harness to bypass the amp for your year, body style, and premium sound. Matter of fact this is what you need if I understand your question right: wire harness. If you need a mounting kit here it is: mounting kit. As for the amp it should be behind the factory HU. Crutchfield will send you a vehicle specific master sheet of where the factory amp is and how to remove it.

i havent seen a harness that fit yet but it may be out there. but you can bypass it like this: on the factory amp which is behind the radio when you pull it out are 2 plugs, one has 8 speaker wires, 4 rears and the right or left side dash and doors run off the same pair, so simply run wires from the deck to the corresponding wires on the 8 wire plug.
