What to do for my V6

Ok here is the deal. Im about a month from coming home from a deployment and my wife just bought me a 06' V6 mustang as a gift. There are some things we wanna do first being exhaust and a CAI. But with so many options I dont know what will give me a boost without eating up what i made on this deployment. Anyone wanna give me some advise?
