What to look out for when buying a 01 GT?

    I bought my 89 5.0 new and have been driving it everyday since. I am keeping it, but I want to find a newer one to drive daily. I found a 2001 GT that I am interested in. What are some things to look out for that are specific to these cars?

    Nothing really just look it over really good....I bought a used 02 that only had 7k miles on it and I have been loving it so far

  3. mity2 I like Pro3 and all I got was this crappy CT.

    Romeo or Windser. Or T-45 or TR-3650. I think TR-3650 is slightly better trans. Other then that, make sure it hasn't been in accident, checl service record, Carfax...

    If it has the 3650 may want to see if you can get an oasis and see if it has been a problem child.

    Definately find out which tranny it is before you buy and see what issues it has. I would shift it several times over to see if or how much it grinds.

    Early 3650's tend to grind badly into 2nd.

    If i was buying an '01, i'd feel better buying one with a T-45.

    To check, read the door code. Under trans, the letter TR would indicate 3650. Anything else is the t-45
