I'm thinking about buying some 00 Cobra R 18" wheels for my 99 Cobra. I want to powercoat the stock 99 Cobra wheels white and then mount them on my 89 Saleen (which is white w/blue stripes).

I was wondering if they would fit the old SVO type brakes? If not, What new style wheels will fit?

Likely they will fit, depending on if they are the same offset or 2 fronts 2 rears.

But, putting those rims on a saleen is a major mistake. The saleen cobra mismatch, will make your car look like a fake. Or just make you look like a guy that ruined a good thing. (no offense, just trying to keep you from making this mistake)

There is plenty of replica saleen 18's available, or even real ones, put them on the saleen. Some of the replicas go for as low as 500 a set. And the real saleen center caps will fit.

I used real 95 saleen rims on my old setup, as well as my current, and they fit fine with the flattening of the dust cap.
That was stock 90 brakes, just in 5 lug. Ran the car for years like that.

how much can you flatten the dust cap without it hitting the bearing and everything underneath it?

Probably could put something like an 1/8 thick, behind the dust cap, flatten it, and then remove it.
