I think a lot of the threads are jokes. Unless I see pictures of the damage, like the grease or rim, I don't believe it.

Gonna have to go with the DEI thread from way back when. No better idea has ever graced the internet than Direct Exhaust Injection

    There's the Crazy Pete thread.

The FUNNIEST ever got deleted on Allfordmustangs.com last week.
Some dude wanted to put some stage 2 cams in his 4.6 and wanted to know if he could take it to the Ford dealership to be tuned. After being explained to him ten different times by eight different people, he was still confused, and that's when the forum turned on him... He should've just left, but he tried to defend himself on the interwebz and went all ape**** on some people in the thread, typing that "he'd literally f*** them up" and stuff like that. I laughed harder than I've ever laughed at a post on the internet.

Dumbest thread ever on a car forum.....

I remember finding a link to a different Mustang forum about guy who drained his oil, left the plug out, and let his engine run with his garden hose running in the oil filler tube to "flush out" the engine. It seized, wouldn't start again, and he came onto to the forum to ask for help figuring out what was wrong.

yea, they have the link posted on the 1rst page of this thread. That guy is a COMPLETE idiot. Turns out, he didn't even know where to put oil into his car. and thought his car was running 11's in the 1/4.......at 68 mph. He started a different thread asking how to change his oil and another member was being sarcastic and told him to run 20-30 gallons of water in when he was done....and he did

Working at a Chevy dealership for a few years when I was 18 years old I've seen a fair share of dumb things. I've seen the garden hose trick on a few cars. Take the dipstick out and milkshake, WTF? Ask the owner what happened. Was doing a flush, had the garden hose running through the engine cleaning it.

They had a ZL motor show up at the Chevy dealership I was working at. For those who don't know it's the Holy Grail 427 Aluminum block / Aluminum Head motor to have in a Camaro, Corvette, etc. Customer ordered it to install in his 1969 COPO Camaro (wanted Chevy to do the work). Something happened with the money, it didn't go through or something. Next thing I know the General Manager is beating it with a sledge hammer. He destroyed the motor. Chevy didn't want this motor around to make a Camaro real valuable if it didn't come out of COPO era (this was 1991). What a waste.

The Ferrari exhaust thread was pretty funny and dumb, but the stupidest threads are the ones where people **** and moan about how the forum isn't what it used to be and that no-one posts here anymore. Dumb

One mechanic grabbed the hammer out of his hands. No luck, he had orders to destroy that motor. Reminds of the Chasing Classic Cars episode I saw a few weeks back. Wayne Carini's client bought a GTO Judge in Orange for like $180,000 than a 1969 ZL COPO Camaro came up but it wasn't a numbers matching ZL motor. The guy bought the car anyway for like $210,000. Right after the gavil hit a guy walked over to Wayne and said "I have the original ZL motor for that car". They wound up purchasing it from that guy for an undisclosed amount. I was hoping they provided that dollar amount so I could put in perspective that guy destroying that motor with a sledge hammer.
