Ok so tomorrow I'm going to order some OE Replica 4 lug 17x9 03 cobra rims. I need help on tire size. I was thinking of 245/40/17s or 255/40/17s up front and 275/40/17s out back. The car has the stock suspension. what is the biggest tire I can run all around? and what is the best staggered tire combo? Thanks. I've been searching stangnet but haven't seen anything definate.

i just got the same rims as you.. I put 245/45/17 up front and 255/45/17 out back.. I could have gone wider out back for sure since i dont have quad shocks but the 245s up front are as big as i could have gone with out dealing with rubbing issues for sure.. you may be able to fit 255s up front seeing how you have a 92 car with bigger front fenders and i have an 87 with smaller front fenders..

thanks guys. i ordered kuhmo 255/40/17s for the front and kuhmo 275/40/17s for the rear. the company that i was going through didnt want tell sell me those sizes for my car though because their computer was saying not to go bigger than a 235/40/17 on a 9in rim on my car. they finally budged though when I told them alot of mustangs have them and that I would deal with any rubbing issues.

that's funny... according to the Tire Rack that is the smallest tire you should run on that wheel

here's a pic of my car with 255/40/17 on the front an 265/40/17 out back with a 2" drop
