When the heck we'll know who's the god damn new president of the states ? Seems we'v been hearing the same crap since 2 years now.... what's up ? Is there a specific date where we'll know who's replacing W. Bush ? I never understood why usa elections take so long and are so complicated.
since you canadians dont understand a real political process let me explain. every 4 years we select a new president. leading up to that time there are candidates from various parties who want a shot at the highest seat in the land, and they start making noise about a year before the general election which is always scheduled for the first tuesday in november, the same year the summer olympics are held. before the general election though we have a primary season so that the politicians can spew their hot air trying to get their parties nomination. it is always the same, it hasnt changed for over 200 years. after the general election is held, the electoral college meets to cast the delegate votes for president, the election is certified, and we install the new president on the 20th of january following the general election. does this help you? or do we need to get some charts out for you? you think you can handle the florida butterfly ballot? or are you one of them crybaby types?
I see that you are regulary joining us on the dark side Franky. Soon you shall be converted... to a REPUBLICAN! MWAH HAH HAH HAH HAH!
Here's a PSA/truism/epiphany: if you don't know, don't vote. That's code for all the partisans to vote the issue, not the constituent.
November 4th we will know, unless one of the candidates turns out to be a whiny little **** like Gore was and demand recounts for the next two months. In the mean time, it's only going to get worse.
I 100% agree. I am a registered Independent. I am by no means Republican, but I am very much a Conservative.
Hockey season is over. Curling and the CFL seasons don't start for a while. So unless you're into reruns of "Degrassi Junior High" there's just nothing else for you Canuks to watch except for our election coverage.
thanks to everyone who replied and gave constructive comments... my question was serious. that said, go Obama.
