So how do you know when it is time to replace Springs and the shocks?

I only have 26,000 miles on my gt and wondered how long the stock springs would last. I am one of those people who hates replacing good parts until something is broken, used up or cheap enough so the wife don't strangle me.

Except for exhaust that needs to go.

I would like to lower my car and give it a more aggressive stance.
Not even sure how low to go cause my car is a daily driver.

Anyway just curious if the springs only really last a certain amount of time or its just something you feel and know it needs to go

Springs should last the life of the car. For shocks, it depends on how/where the car is driven. They can last anywhere between 30,000 - 70,000 miles. Unless yours are leaking, they are probably fine at 26,000.

Hey thall79,

Who's that pretty blonde woman standing next to your Mustang GT? Is that your wife, your mistress, your girlfriend or an escort? She looks really hot. Do you have a blown up picture of her? She reminds me of someone who I know that works as an escort.

Anyways, I hought that shocks last for 100,000 to 150,000 miles. I've owned all types of vehicles which I bought brand new and I NEVER changed the shocks or springs on any of them. And I put well over 50,000 to 75,000 miles on all of my vehicles.
