I'm looking for two pairs of 6X8's. What I would like is a good balance between, sound quality, power handling, and price. I know some of the basics of car audio but there's a lot I don't know. I think I've narrowed the choices down to either the JBL GTO8626

or the Polk Audio db570

Are these speakers any good for the price. Which should I pick. Also I'm a bit confuse about what amp to pick. These speakers are both give a reccommended RMS range of up to 60W RMS. Does this mean that I should get an amp that supplies 60W x 4 at 4 ohms RMS power or would it be a better idea to get one a little lower in the reccommended RMS range.

I have a set of the JBL GTO 8626's in the rear of my Mach-1. I like them alot for fill. I also have a set of GTO 8606c's up front which I'm replacing with Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1's (6.5" components) in a week or so.

My son has a set of Polk db650's in the front of his Integra. I hate them. He hates them. I'm the only one in the world, I think, that doesn't like the sound of the new Polk db series. Again, sound is subjective.

If you're interested, I'd sell the JBL GTO 8606c's when I remove them in a couple of weeks - $85 shipped, original packaging. I've been using them since the first week of January. Send PM if interested.

Hey man I don't know if you like these but I am also selling some speakers. For all 6 $120. Its in the classifieds all new pioneer speakers. I just replaced mine with Polk MOMO 5x7's in the back and hooked it upto a 4 channel amp. Trying to get ready for the shows this summer. The only thing that I had by jbl was some 6 1/2"s in my old stang, and 2 10's. The 6 1/2's were not bad, but I like the infinity kappa components. But then your spending some more money.-J
