Yeah, I got quited annoyed when I get my issue a couple of months ago and seen "& Fords" on it. Aren't there enough of those magazines? I liked Modified Mustangs because it was geared towards Fox, Sn95, and S197 platforms. In an effort to appeal to the masses, they're going to lose their main audience.

    +1

I seen more hardcore stuff in the babe of the month section of 5.0.

Exactly, I dont own a Fox or an S197 but I still liked to read about them especially the Fox. Who knows how many issues will go by now before I see a decent 94/95. They used to cover them quite often and was good blend between the 88-08. All they did was alienate their hard core group of subscriber's.

Its like ordering something from summit and them sending you something else and telling you that "well you should like it anyway, it will still work" even though its not what you ordered.

I was rather nice in the E-mail I sent and even said I would probably renew my subscription but I dont see that happening now, the more I look threw this Oct Issue the less I want to give them my money.

It's basically a matter of having a broader base for the advertisers. They talk about that in one of the threads.

Works fine for me. My current car list: 04 GT, 90 GT, 68 coupe (2 of 'em), 87 coupe, 63 Fairlane.

I for one think it's great. As a true Mustang enthusiast I like to see coverage of all years. If you want only late models, get MMFF and 5.0, I subscribe to all three.

What can any magazine say about a 5.0 that has not been done 1000 times before. I stopped getting anything related to one make of car. I went back to Hot Rod, Motor Trend and Such to get something different and maybe something new. Better stuff on the web then you can get in a magazine.

it was an unfortunate merger that was forced by the wonderful primedia. every magazine they run they destroy. I can tell you that neither of the editors where happy with the decision to merge but they are trying to make the most of it. I do miss the original lay out, but i like most fords so it doesnt bother me too much.

I would hate to see the magazine fail since one of the editors is a friend, but maybe if primedia saw the sales drop drastically they would see that they made a mistake and possibly move back in the original direction.

I didnt know Modified is now under primedia?

As far as content, whats wrong with a 57 ranchero??? I'd rather see some different fords once in a while instead of the sameeee old BS mods everyone does.

I agree, I think that combining the two was probably a mistake, Modified always had great quality photos but now it's like half the size and poor photos on crappy paper even. I didn't renew.

primedia can be thanked for that, when they bought modified it started its downward trend. the mag is run buy a bunch of money hungry guys in suits in stead of the editors that know the community.
