Why is it these days most cars don't have NAMES anymore it's just a bunch of numbers and letters. Letters and numbers used to desginate engine sizes and trim packages. Example I have a Mustang. My friend has a Mustang GT. Mustang - car has a name. Mustang GT - car has a name but the "GT" designates extras like bigger engine, fog lights, dual exhaust, etc. Another example my mom has Chrysler Sebring LX. My Aunt has a Sebring LXi. The "i" in "LXi" means that it has leather interior instead of cloth. Here's a list of Number/Letter name cars.
