I noticed that I get redirected to mirror sites now when the main server is loaded too high.

Why do you guys have mirror sites? Why don't you guys load balance things behind a Load Balancer such as the ones F5 makes. You can set up multiple IIS instances behind the LB and have it be transparent to the user. Also when you want to upgrade the site, you can bleed off users on one server, update the site on that server, then bleed the users off the other server to the new site, and update the other server... and there is NO downtime. You get the idea.

Just a suggestion... I do not know how much money you guys have to throw at the network, but if you some (well a lot) laying around, this would be a MUCH better implementation than the one you have now IMO.
