Widest 15" rear tire possible on a Fox Body

Just wondering what is the widest 15" tire that will fit on a Fox Body('89 GT)?Will a 275/60/15 fit?

275. I think tahts the highest you can go without a hammer or mini-tubbing.

275 will fit with only slight hammering and i think at least a quad shock flip. My buddy has 295s on his coupe with a little help from a sledge, no quads and eibach drags

I got 275s. trust me. It's the max before modding. And your tires like to get up close and personal with tailpipes and wheel wells.

On the front I have no clue. But out back I have the stock rims in my room, and I've run with them on, just because I have 295/55/15's on the back.

275/60's are too tall in my opinion. I had them on my 91 GT and they looked way too tall. I replaced them w/ some 275/50's and they look way better. They fit the GT w/o any spacers or flipping the quad shocks, however I did have to massage some of the inner-fender areas. I just put them on my LX yesterday and had to use 1/4" spacers and beat in the quad shock a little bit (didn't wanna flip it). I think they look better on the LX than the GT because you can see more of them w/ the LX rear bumper than w/ the GT rear bumper.

No quads, no tailpipes, and a 1/4" spacer, and 275-50-15s fit fine with no hammering.. Or a 10.5 slick will fit also..
