will a 408 fit in a '65 mustang?

Correct me if im wrong, but a 408 is a stroked 351, right? so based on that, i would be asking if a 351 would fit in there. and im pretty sure it would, if you can fit a 383 in a gremlin like my uncle did, im sure you could put a 351 in yours.

Go to the classics forums. Tons of nice people there that can definitly help you with all your questions.

Short answer yes it fits. You need 351W swap headers. Motor mounts are the same. You need the correct style oil pan (front sump I think).
