Will an 03 Alternator fit in a 97 4.6l

1 of my moms cars is broke down. Its got a starting problem but I haven't had a chance to look at it. But will my old alternator out of my 03 gt fit in her 1997 4.6 Grand Marquis. Bad thing is its been sitting in a carport for 6 months or so.
