will Dunlop SP8000's 245/45/ZR 16's Fit on mustang??

Will Dunlop SP8000's 245/45/ZR 16's fit on the stock 16" pony rim for 87-93 stangs???

I could be wrong but I don't think so. I have 225 55 16's (pirellis) on my car right now and they rub.

I had 245/50-16's on my pony's with no rubbing. I've got 17's now with 245/45 and no rubbing.

They'll fit but be too short for the car (look funny) and be too wide for the rim (not work as well).

I have 245/45ZR16 Bridgestone's on the back of my 86, they look and fit fine.

i had 245-45-16's on my hatch and nothing rubbed, if you have a 4 cyl to 5.0 conversion they will, and i have 245-45-17s on my notch and they don't rub its even dropped..

I've got 245/50/16s on the back of mine. If you are putting them on the back, then they will fit. But yes, they will look funny because of the short sidewall. Get a 50 series...

Also... I work for a shop that sells Dunlops... Let me be the first to tell you they are the absolute worst tires I've ever seen. I see more then half coming back because of uneven wear when alignments are correct... Chopping... BAD chopping! Separation... where the belts inside the tires come apart.... Dunlop used to be good, but since they were bought by Goodyear, they have gone downhill. Probably to make Goodyear tires look better... I have Dayton Daytona's on the back of mine.. .ZR... Hook good for street tires... and wear like iron... I dont do burn outs, and I have 7/32 when they came with 8... And I've had them for over 2 years... Buy some Eagle F1's or something similar.. Stay away from Dunlops.

When I bought my Pony wheels they came with 245/45/16 on them......they looked like absolute crap because there was no sidewall. I changed them to 225/55/16 on the front and 245/50/16 on the back before I even put them on the car.

I have 245/50/16's on mine. 45 series have too small of a sidewall. 245/50's is the correct plus size from factory which keeps the overal diameter at 25.7"
