I heard that stock '90 up valve covers without the ribs inside will clear roller rockers. Would they be allright w/my Comp Pro Magnum 1.6's on top of my AFR 185's? Besides the baffle part, would I have to clearance anything else?

    some experience

From the sounds of the combination, they should clear fine. I used a set of 1.72 roller rockers on stock heads and covers, then GT40 heads and stock covers. The only time I had to change to a different cover was when I put Brodix heads on with 7/16" stud rockers on. Then the stock covers were no good. Some FMS aluminum covers for efi worked great.

I know 1.6 studs will clear without the baffles, but not too sure on the 1.7's. I'm having to remove the baffles on my '93 to get the frpp 1.6's to clear. If you have to go to a taller cover you'll need a phenolic intake spacer for the taller valve covers.
