Will the GT500 OEM shock tower brace fit a GT?

i didnt have problems with it hitting my hood, but rather my intake manifold on my 07 GT for some reason. I would have thought with the GT500 having the blower up there it would have more clearance, i guess our manifold sits high.....but anyway to anyone who wants it i have a basically brand new gt500 strut bar for sale.

It sounds like you reversed the GT500 STB so that it angles/arches towards the passengers instead of the nose of the car. How much clearance is there between the bar and intake? I thought about installing it this way but it seems that you need 0.600" of clearance between any engine part and the brace to prevent contact.
