I was running a 125 dry shot nitrous Zex kit i also have a zex traction control unit its just a fancy window switch well i never could get the traction control to work right so i clipped the white wire from it and went right to the TPS which gave me no traction control but always worked wot only. Which got me in trouble when i missed a gear RPMs went to the roof result top end damage, nows here the question im having a 331 stroker built and one of my add ons are a MSD 6AL-2 which has a built in rev limiter so if i miss a gear and hit the rev limiter is my nitrous still gonna flow cause all i'll be running wot only or will it shut the nitrous down too, i guess what im asking do i still need a window switch if im running a MSD 6AL-2 box with rev limiter. With my 331 stroker im hoping on going with just 1 tune cause i plan on just using the 75 HP jets i figure be nice to the block and get away with 1 tune with no timing retard?
Im not sure how you are saying your nitrous is set up, but if it is set up to spray at wot, wether it be with your traction control thing or with a micro switch, then it will always spray at wot...the rev limiter alone will not shut down the nitrous..you need a real window switch so that you can make it shut off the nitrous 2 or 300 rpm before the limiter
