Winter wheels/tires

Now that I live in a state that gets snow, I need winter wheels and tires. I was looking on Discount Tire. Would a 16x7 wheel fit? I was thinking of 16x7 with General Altimax Arctic 205/60 tires. will this work with Eibach pro kit springs? Thanks in advance.

Save for a beater! Especially if you never drove in the snow before. Rear wheel drive + Torque + auto and lowered = very dangerous. Takes tones of practice to maneuver.

I'd love to get a beater but right now that isn't realistic, probably will before next winter. Right now I need to make sure that I have good tires and whatnot to get me through. I know it's just more money eventually but right now, $700 is better than $1500-2000 that I've seen for the average beater around here.
