So I removed the poorly appplied electrical tape from the injector and found some crimp connectors. Perhaps a rodent damaged the cables and the had to be repaired?

Look close you can see the genuis that did the repair damaged the insulation on the wires when he used a sharp knife to cut into the harness. What a dumbf'k...
